Focusing on the efforts of Maine and Oregon to control drug costs in the face of intense lobbying by Big Pharma, the report investigates why prescription drugs are so expensive to begin with, and asks whether their prices can be controlled without sacrificing the development of new, innovative drugs to benefit us all.
