Beautiful Daughters is filled with entertaining brilliant people who have made deep personal decisions to survive and to thrive by changing their gender. Some changed decades ago, some are still in the process now. These women are strong, disciplined and inspiring. They are roll models who strive for a world that accepts the whole spectrum of gender amongst us, to sees that as the norm, not as a call to violence, to inspire acceptance, compassion and inclusion for them. This film embraces and totally accepts these women as they tell their deeply painful, deliciously funny stories. Beautiful Daughters puts a complex, vulnerable and totally human face on these ladies. We see that they are a part of the fabric of our society and the film.
