is a
documentary about four women pursuing highpowered careers on Wall Street.
Each woman has made the conscious decision to work in an industry that is
notoriously unforgiving of one’s family and personal life. In the
male-dominated world of finance these women’s struggles are less about
the glass ceiling and more about the pull of social convention. Louise,
for example, is a floor broker on the New York Stock Exchange and
president of her own firm. She grew up in a New York City housing project,
yet she is beginning a quest to establish her own identity and to start a
family.This film follows four such women as they struggle with outside
