The Tribes of India today number over 40 million, some of which have the proud designation of being the aboriginals of the oldest civilization. These pure children of nature, through the ages have expressed their exuberance, purity and vivid character in completely original and abundant manifestations of their culture.
The films: 'The Apatanis' and 'The Konyaks', seeks to document the sustainable lifestyle, social fabric, vibrant culture and unique religion of two of the most colorful tribes in India. The films are not only aimed at giving these tribes the respect and recognition that they deserve, but also sensitizing the outside world about the situation that these tribes face today.
