For
One More Hour With You (engl. title) is the director's
personal quest to rediscover her mother who committed suicide, when she
was seven. Using only the
breathtaking cinematography shot by her grandfather in Italy beginning in
the 1920s, the film is an attempt to give life back to her, if only on
screen, if only for an hour. “As if by magic that mysterious and unknown
person projected on the screen in front of me seemed alive. In just a
second I was thrown back to the past, in the time when my mother lived. My
mother, whom I had known very little and forgotten for the most” –
director Alina Marazzi. "Outstanding...a gorgeous film" - Nick Fraser of the BBC. |
